Welcome from Jill Evans, PTFA Chair
Hello – I’m Jill Evans the PTFA chair for this year. I am mum to Emily in year 3 and Oliver who is now in year 5 at the Junior High but very much enjoyed his years in Archibald First School. Both of my children have reaped many rewards that the PTFA provided over the years which has enhanced both their academic and personal development, and that is one of the main reasons I wanted to get involved this year.
We have a really strong and enthusiastic PTFA committee that covers most of the year groups across the school which will allow us hopefully to connect with as many of you as possible over this next year.
We are all excited about the new challenge for us and looking forward to generating money for the school and having some fun along the way!
Tom Woolridge is Treasurer and father to Oliver in year 4 and Jacob in year 2
Angie Woodhall is Events coordinator and mum to Elizabeth in year 4
Rehab Dahy is our secretary. Rehab is mum to Sherif in year 1
The PTFA is fundamentally here to ensure that as much funds as possible is raised for our school. Over the years, my children have benefited from all the money you have helped raise, from the book bag they receive in Reception to the thoroughly enjoyable Year 4 leaving meal and all the bits in between, including contribution to school trips, buying new school equipment even down to the ice creams consumed on the annual Cullercoats trip
I, and the rest of the committee, are committed to continuing the success of the PTFA but as ever we won’t be able to do it alone. We rely so much on the support of everyone involved with the school to help us out and contribute as much as possible. Whether it’s baking (or buying!) a cake for a bake sale, manning a stall at an event or just coming along and supporting an event.
As well as your time and contribution we would love your feedback; on past events, future events you’d love to see, fundraising ideas or thoughts on how you would like to see the money spent. All feedback positive and constructive is appreciated. It is your support that really makes the PTFA work. The committee is here to help enable things to happen but the PTFA is much more then the four of us.
