Exploring the museum

We looked at all the different layers of soil and labelled them.  Isaac, Class 8.

When we were looking at the soil, we found out there were different artefacts underground, such as a cist and pottery. Joe, Class 8.

Our challenge was to find different tools from the periods of time. Jamie, Class 7.

Most of the material which have remained and been found were made from Iron, Bronze, Clay, Stones and flint. Rebecca Y, Class 7.

We also got to hold several artefacts from the Stone Age and Bronze Age. Matthew, Class 7.

We held bones, antlers, fur, arrow heads and leather. I found out that they used Stone to shape their tools. Amy, Class 7.

Did you know that this sword is not actually for fighting? It was believed that people use to show off with their swords and carry them. Only important people in a community had a sword. When they died, their swords were laid on top of them. George, Class 8.

I found out that most people in the Stone Age did not live in caves and there were just as intelligent as humans today. Julian, Class 7. Holding artefacts
