Year 1 at BBC Newcastle!

30/1/17

Last week Year 1 went on an exciting trip to BBC Newcastle.

Each class had a fun filled morning where we got to look around the different studios and see how and where radio and TV shows are made.

Throughout the morning the children took part in many fun games. We played a type of ‘spot the difference’ where the children had to make sure the set looked exactly the same ready for the next scene.

We enjoyed some Horrible History games, we even had to pull the brains out of the nose of a mummy, yuk!!

All of the children got to experience the brilliance of green screen and it was super funny when we got to wrap our bodies in the green screen material so we all became floating heads!

The children got to experience reading weather and news reports too. The trip was a great stimulus to help the children create their own fantastic weather reports back at school.

Thank you for being so well behaved Year 1, the tour guides and the BBC sent us an email just to say how fantastic you all were!
